Six-Switch Step-Up Common-Grounded Five-Level Inverter With Switched-Capacitor Cell for Transformerless Grid-Tied PV Applications

Photovoltaic string inverters with transformerless grid-connected architecture are the most commonly used solar converters owing to their appliance-friendly and cost-effective benefits. A novel circuit configuration for these is presented in this article, which seeks address shortcomings of conventional topologies such as problem leakage current, voltage ratio transformations, power quality. The proposed structure based on series-parallel switching conversion switched-capacitor (SC) cell comprised only six unidirectional switches a common-grounded (CG) feature. Through use SC CG connection active passive elements, not number output level enhanced by up five but also two times boosting feature single-stage operation well elimination current acquired. Herein, inject tightly controlled into grid, peak controller approach has been can handle both reactive supports modes. Theoretical analysis, design guidelines, comparative study, some experimental results given corroborate feasibility accurate performance topology.
